The CSIR-Central Leather Research Institute (CLRI) Recruitment 2025, located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, is inviting online applications from enthusiastic and talented professionals for the position of Technical Assistant (Group III, Levels 1 & 2). Vacancy Details:
- Position: Technical Assistant Group III (1&2)

Age Limit:
- Maximum age: 28 years as of March 1, 2025.
- Age Relaxation:
- Up to 3 years for OBC candidates.
- Up to 5 years for SC/ST candidates and employees of CSIR/Government organizations.
- Additional 10 years for PwBD candidates.
- Up to 35 years (40 years for SC/ST) for widows, divorced women, and women judicially separated.
Pay Scale:
- Pay Level-6: ₹35,400 – ₹1,12,400/-
- Approximate total emoluments: ₹70,290/-
Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates must possess one of the following qualifications:
Educational Qualification:
- B.Sc. Degree in disciplines such as Chemistry, Physics, Zoology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, etc.
- OR
- Diploma in fields like Leather Technology, Footwear Manufacturing, Footwear Manufacturing & Design, Design, Fashion Design & Technology, Textile, etc.
Selection Process:
The selection process comprises two stages:
- Stage I: Trade Test
- Stage II: Competitive Written Examination
Application Fee:
- ₹500/- for General, OBC, and EWS candidates.
- No fee for SC/ST/PwBD/ESM/Women/CSIR employees.
- Payment should be made through the online mode.
