UPSC Recruitment for Combined Defence Posts

Applications are invited by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) for the post of 463 Combined Defence Service Examination (CDS-I) 2017 vacancies. Candidates are required to apply online on or before 2nd December 2016.

Age Limit:- The age of the applicants should be 24 years or more and should not be more than 24 years.

 

Educational Qualification:- Candidates are required to have degree in any discipline from a recognized university or institute / should have degree in engineering from a recognized university / institute.

 

Selection Procedure:- The selection of the applicants will be done on the basis of written examination and personal interview depending on the number of applications received.

 

Application fee:- Candidates have to pay an application fee of Rs 200/- either by depositing the money in any branch of State Bank of India by cash or by using net banking facility of the State Bank or by using visa card / master card / credit card / debit card.

Candidates belonging to the schedule caste categories (SC) / schedule tribe categories (ST) / physically handicapped categories are exempted from paying the application fee.

 

How to apply:- Candidates have to apply online through the official website of Union Public Service Commission www.upsconline.nic.in  on or before 2nd December 2016.

 

Date to be Noted:-

The closing date for the submission of online application is 2nd December 2016.

 

General Drectives:-

  • The selection test will be of two hours duration and will carry a maximum of 100 marks and the medium of the question paper will be English only.
  • Candidates will be eligible to get the benefit of community reservation only in case the particular caste to which the applicant belong to included in the lists of reserved communities issued by the Central government.
